Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage a wide range of accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by maintaining precise bookkeeping practices, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities

Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software QuickBooks Online.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
Record journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Reconcile accounts through detailed account analysis and general ledger reconciliation procedures.
Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting compliance as needed.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support management decision-making.
Conduct month-end closing activities such as account reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial planning tasks.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial concepts and double entry bookkeeping standards.

Experience

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit environments.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting standards (if applicable), and technical accounting principles.
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing is highly desirable.
Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and account reconciliation processes.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus. Join us in a role that combines precision with purpose!
