What You’ll Be Doing as a Ammunition Technician: The Ammunition Manufacturing Technician at Gunwerks is responsible for producing, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of precision long-range ammunition. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to maintain a clean workspace, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. Essential skills include basic computer literacy, problem-solving, and time management, along with the physical ability to lift heavy parcels and service manufacturing equipment. Daily duties range from material preparation and loading using specific equipment to quality control checks, packaging, and documentation, all while adhering to strict safety and accuracy standards. Performance is evaluated based on meeting production goals, maintaining a perfect safety record, and ensuring complete accuracy in lot numbers and loading.

Thoroughly inspect all materials for defects and verify accurate lot and part numbers before use.
Proficiently set up and operate Dillion presses, single stage equipment, and other relevant tools.
Strictly adhere to documented work instructions.
Promptly notify the manager of any discrepancies.
Perform in-process quality checks as outlined in work instructions.
Report any non-conforming materials.
Conduct shooting tests to verify LOT to LOT velocity tolerances.
Execute final inspections.
Inspect packaging material during the packaging process, discarding any non-conforming materials.
Accurately record material consumption when closing MOs.
Verify the correctness of lot numbers and labeling.
Maintain a clean and presentable workstation daily.
Ensure equipment is serviced and maintained.
Achieve daily throughput goals as determined by the lead.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Ammunition Technician:

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a high-pressure environment.
2 years of experience in a similar field preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
