Newedges is seeking an Entry-Level Network Engineer to join our team in Sheridan. As a Network Engineer at Newedges, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This position is vital to ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance across all our systems and projects. As a Network Engineer at Newedges, you will be involved in configuring network devices, troubleshooting network issues, and optimizing network performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet the company's requirements. This role offers a great learning opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in network engineering. Responsibilities:

Configure and install various network devices and services.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
Communicate with users when needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Understanding of network security practices.
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
