Full Job Description

Position Summary

Xscindo Wyoming is seeking a safety-focused, mechanically capable Plant Operator to lead the daily production process at our advanced electronic-waste facility. This is a hands-on operating role responsible for safely running the pyrolysis chamber (PC), thermal-processing systems, and related pre- and post-production activities. The Plant Operator directs the Plant Technician during daily plant work and assists the General Manager with production, safety, shipping, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate the complete production process, including equipment startup, loading, chamber positioning, thermal processing, monitoring, shutdown, unloading, and post-processing.

· Monitor temperatures, pressure, differential pressure, airflow, oxygen readings, material flow, alarms, and other process conditions; recognize and respond to abnormal trends.

· Create the daily run sheet and accurately record operating readings, adjustments, observations, and abnormal events at 15-minute intervals.

· Lead the Plant Technician during loading, unloading, material movement, screening, separation, routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping.

· Complete production logs, input/output weights, run mass balances, feedstock mass balances, and recovered-material records.

· Perform routine operator inspections and maintenance, including daily greasing of the two PC rotary seals, rear main gear, and inspection of the thermal oxidizer inlet.

· Verify required resources, tools, PPE, and RPE are available and used correctly; keep fire exits and work areas clear.

· Follow company work instructions, safe systems of work, risk assessments, QSHE controls, environmental requirements, and R2/ISO procedures.

· Report near misses, incidents, equipment defects, and safety concerns; assist with corrective actions and continuous improvement.

· Support loading/unloading of vehicles, packing and shipping recovered metals, and maintaining material chain of custody.

· Drive company vehicles to collect feedstock from customer sites when assigned; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications and Skills

· High school diploma or equivalent; industrial, manufacturing, recycling, mining, thermal-processing, or equipment-operation experience preferred.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand temperature, pressure, differential pressure, airflow, material flow, gauges, operating trends, and basic process-control data.

· Demonstrated ability to follow technical procedures, maintain accurate records, make sound operating decisions, and direct daily work safely.

· Forklift experience or ability to become certified; valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

· Comfort working at heights from fixed platforms and around industrial equipment, heat, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

· Dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with the Plant Technician and General Manager.

Physical and Employment Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, reach, climb, and move materials in an industrial environment.

· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and use required PPE, including respiratory protection when required.

· Ability to work safely on ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas using required fall protection.

· Successful completion of background check

Compensation and Benefits

Wage is up to $25.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include 10 days of PTO, 5 days of sick leave, 2 personal days and the ability to participate in group medical, dental and vision plans.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
