Starting Salary: $16-$19.00+ tips and Benefits for full time (health, dental, vision)
Food Preparation:
-
Prepare food from the restaurant menu according to standard recipes
- Measure and mix ingredients for specific food items prepared
- Deal with special customer requests and dietary concerns and must be sure to fill these orders properly
- Present or package the food prepared properly
- Consistently deliver quality hot and fresh food for each and every guest
- Prepare ingredients for use during shift
- Cook meals to order using provided equipment
- Run large volume cooking equipment like grills, deep fat fryers, flat top, etc
- Wash dishes as needed
- Keep work area clean and tidy
- Deep clean kitchen equipment and workstations as assigned
- Serve food quickly and accurately without compromising on quality and friendly service
Safety:

Ensure all food safety standards are being followed
- Maintain appropriate temperature and freshness of food
- Maintain and clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils
- Communicate any equipment problems to Store Manager or Assistant Manager
Communication:

Maintain a positive attitude and focus on promoting a guest and team member centered atmosphere
- Inform the General Manager of any restaurant concerns you have about product, procedures or team members in a timely manner
- Participate in daily pre-shift meeting with other team members and management
Additional Job Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old
- Must possess a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
- Able to read, write and communicate English to read recipes and job tickets
- Possess basic math skills needed for recipes
- Able to work in diverse groups
- Learn quickly and ask questions

- High level of integrity and ethics
- Reliable transportation to work
- Able to work flexible hours necessary to operate the restaurant effectively, including weekends, opening and closing shifts as needed
Physical Standards:
The Cook position requires the ability to work approximately 20-40 hours a week, 6-8 hours daily. While performing the duties of this position the team member is required to stand and walk continuously for 8 hours. Team member will continuously be performing hand and wrist work including grasping. Team member will frequently bend and twist. Team member will occasionally push and pull, do fine hand manipulation, reach above the shoulder and kneel or squat. The position seldom requires climb/stairs. Team member will continuously lift or carry 0-10 pounds; frequently lift or carry 11-15 pounds and rarely lift 16-20 pounds. About Zullee:

Position Summary:
A cook at Zullee completes food preparation duties according to sanitation and hygiene standards in order to quickly and accurately fill customer requests. This involves operating all kitchen equipment, cooking restaurant menu items according to recipe and presenting or packaging food items. We expect our Cooks to lead by example, value their team members and guests, and have integrity in all interactions.
