PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit at a computer workstation, operate standard office equipment, and use a phone and camera equipment. The role requires clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing, when working with coworkers, guests, and partners. At times, marketing staff may need to ski or snowboard in order to capture media, attend events, or represent the ski area in an on-hill setting. This requires the ability to safely navigate varying terrain and conditions while carrying or using equipment such as cameras or promotional materials. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, bend, or move between buildings and outdoor locations in winter conditions. The position may occasionally require lifting or moving items such as signage, promotional equipment, or media gear weighing up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based in a mixed environment that includes both office settings and outdoor mountain terrain. Office work is performed in a busy, fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and interruptions. Outdoor work involves exposure to variable winter weather, including cold, wind, snow, and sun, as well as uneven and slippery surfaces. On-hill duties may require skiing or snowboarding with equipment in dynamic, guest-facing environments. Noise levels can vary from moderate in an office setting to high in outdoor or event spaces. Adaptability, safety awareness, and professionalism are essential in balancing office-based tasks with on-mountain responsibilities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. White Pass will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with known disabilities, as required by law, to enable the performance of essential job functions. If you believe you need accommodation, notify your supervisor or Human Resources as soon as possible.
