The Role

The Strategic Account Manager owns client relationships from the close through onboarding, activation, and ongoing growth. It’s a blend of relationship management, marketing strategy, direct mail know-how, and account development.

You’ll give every new account a consistent, high-quality start, then stay close to the relationship so it holds and grows. You understand how direct mail, data, and marketing technology fit together, and you use that to help clients make good decisions and run better programs.

You’ll work closely with the CRO and coordinate across Operations, Client Services, Production, and Development to make sure the right things happen for each client. The right person is organized, genuinely curious about client needs, and someone clients and colleagues know they can count on.

What You’ll Do

Own the client experience for a portfolio of accounts — from first internal prep through onboarding, first program execution, and ongoing management.
Run a structured, consistent onboarding process for each account, including the customer kickoff.
Partner with Sales at the discovery stage to build account plans: who the key stakeholders are, what success looks like, and what the client needs to get there.
Build relationships across multiple contacts within each account, not just a single point of contact.
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Client Services, Production, and Development to bring solutions to market.
Help clients use our solutions — direct mail, data, and technology — to meet their marketing goals.
Spot opportunities for clients to do more with Strata and bring those conversations to the CRO.
Keep account activity, program status, and notes current in Salesforce.
Stay current on direct mail and marketing technology trends so you’re a useful resource to the clients you support.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years in account management, customer success, or client services, with direct responsibility for client relationships.
Exposure to direct mail or print marketing — or a genuine willingness to learn it quickly.
A solid grasp of marketing fundamentals: customer acquisition, audience targeting, and campaign execution.
A strong listener who can understand what a client actually needs and map a clear path to get them there.
Comfort working across internal teams and managing several priorities at once.
Working proficiency in Salesforce, or a comparable CRM.
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated — able to drive work forward independently.

Nice to Have

Experience with agency partners, data providers, marketing technology platforms, or customer communication programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
