General Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key contributor within the ImageSource Sales organization, responsible for supporting revenue growth through strategic prospecting, demand generation, and pipeline development activities. The BDM partners closely with Enterprise Account Executives (AEs) to identify new business opportunities, create meaningful prospect engagement, and generate qualified introductory meetings.
The primary focus of the BDM role is proactive outbound sales development through targeted calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, account research, and other demand generation activities. The BDM is responsible for executing high-volume prospecting activities while maintaining a consultative and professional approach that reflects the ImageSource brand.
Success in this role requires consistent execution against activity and performance expectations, including:
- Completing an average of 100 outbound prospecting contacts per business day
- Scheduling a minimum of 10 qualified introductory meetings per week for the Enterprise Account Executive team
- Supporting strategic prospecting campaigns, marketing initiatives, events, and demand generation activities
- Maintaining accurate and timely CRM activity tracking within Microsoft Dynamics
The successful BDM will develop expertise in ImageSource solutions, target markets, and customer challenges while following the ImageSource sales methodology to create meaningful conversations with prospective customer partners.

Responsibilities
Sales Development & Prospecting
- Execute daily outbound prospecting activities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other approved outreach methods.
- Complete an average of 100 outbound contacts per day to targeted prospects and accounts.
- Identify key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within assigned accounts and industries.
- Generate qualified introductory meetings for Enterprise Account Executives.
- Achieve weekly goal of 10 qualified meetings scheduled.
- Support Account Executives by expanding pipeline coverage and identifying new sales opportunities.
Demand Generation Support
- Support company demand generation initiatives, campaigns, events, and account-based marketing efforts.
- Assist with targeted prospect lists, account research, and campaign execution.
- Participate in strategic outreach initiatives, including industry campaigns, partner campaigns, and Golden Hour activities.
- Provide market feedback and prospect insights to sales leadership and marketing teams.
Sales Process Execution
- Follow the ImageSource sales methodology and business development processes.
- Maintain consistent outreach cadence and engagement strategies.
- Properly qualify prospects based on business challenges, initiatives, timelines, and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure effective handoff of qualified opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Business & Solution Knowledge
- Develop a strong understanding of ImageSource solutions, including the ILINX® platform and related technologies.
- Understand customer challenges, industry trends, and common business processes.
- Build knowledge of competitive solutions and market positioning.
- Effectively communicate ImageSource’s value proposition and customer outcomes.
Relationship Building
- Establish professional relationships with prospective customer partners.
- Communicate effectively with executives, managers, and operational stakeholders.
- Represent ImageSource with professionalism, credibility, and integrity.
- Maintain a customer-focused mindset throughout all interactions.
Performance Expectations
- 100 outbound prospecting activities per day
- 500+ outbound prospecting activities per week
- Consistent CRM documentation and activity tracking
Pipeline Generation Expectations
- 10 qualified meetings scheduled per week
- Consistent contribution toward sales pipeline growth
- Effective collaboration with assigned Account Executives
Professional Development Expectations
- Participate in coaching, training, and feedback sessions
- Continuously improve sales skills, messaging, and product knowledge
- Demonstrate accountability toward individual goals and team objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong phone presence and ability to engage prospects professionally
- Ability to build relationships with prospective and current customer partners
- Strong listening, discovery, and qualification skills
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment
- Creative problem-solving ability and willingness to adapt
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience using CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
