Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants and Administrative Assistant to join our team. This pivotal role combines grant management, proposal development, and administrative support to advance our nonprofit initiatives. The ideal candidate will be energized by strategic planning, possess exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate a passion for supporting community-focused programs. In this role, you will facilitate grant funding research, manage databases, and coordinate proposal submissions to ensure our organization’s continued growth and impact.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive research on grant funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other nonprofit sources to identify potential funding streams.
Develop compelling grant proposals and supporting documents, utilizing persuasive writing and technical writing skills to effectively communicate program needs and objectives.
Manage grant applications from initial proposal development through submission, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and deadlines.
Oversee contract management processes, including reviewing agreements, tracking contractual obligations, and maintaining detailed records within databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems.
Maintain and update grant-related databases to track application statuses, reporting requirements, and funding outcomes with accuracy.
Prepare detailed financial reports, progress reports, and other documentation required for grant compliance and reporting purposes.
Support program development initiatives by assisting with strategic planning efforts and coordinating project timelines to meet organizational goals.

Skills

Extensive experience with grants management, including proposal writing, grant funding research, and grant case development.
Proficiency in database management systems such as Raiser's Edge or equivalent CRM platforms.
Strong understanding of contract management processes within nonprofit settings.
Excellent content editing skills coupled with persuasive writing abilities for proposals and reports.
Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines efficiently.
Knowledge of nonprofit foundation practices, fundraising strategies within government agencies, and community organization operations.
Exceptional research skills for identifying new funding opportunities and developing compelling grant cases.
Superior organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in proofreading, financial report writing, and document management.
Ability to adapt technical language into clear content suitable for diverse audiences while maintaining accuracy.
