Rainy Day Pets is building one of Westchester County and New York City's most trusted networks of professional pet caregivers. If you're passionate about animals and committed to providing exceptional care, we'd love to meet you.

At Rainy Day Pets, we believe pets deserve more than just someone to stop by and feed them.

We're building a trusted team of dependable, compassionate caregivers who treat every pet like family.

As we continue expanding throughout Westchester County, we're looking for reliable Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters who are passionate about animals and committed to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Lead engaging mornings, midday and evening dog walks, ensuring safe handling and exercise tailored to each pet’s needs
Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and offering companionship during owner absences
Conduct overnight in-home care visits to maintain pets’ routines and comfort while owners are away
Handle animal behavior management and training to promote good manners and reduce stress
Communicate clearly with clients about pet activities, sending photo and written updates after every visit

Experience

Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles preferred
Knowledge of basic dog training techniques and understanding of animal behavior patterns
Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus for handling pets with medical needs
Reliable transportation (preferred)
Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members
Dependable and punctual
Available at least 3 days per week
Passion for animals with a proactive attitude toward safety, customer service, and professional growth
