Full Job Description

Overview

Endurance Investigative Group LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investigator to assist with litigation support and field investigations. The position involves surveillance, locating and interviewing witnesses and claimants, obtaining records, and preparing investigative reports for attorneys and insurance clients. This role requires strong observational skills, clear written communication, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance assignments and document observations through detailed written reports, photographs, and video when applicable.
Locate and contact witnesses, claimants, and other individuals relevant to investigations.
Meet with witnesses and potential claimants to obtain information and written statements when appropriate.
Prepare clear and accurate investigative reports summarizing activities, findings, and observations.
Conduct investigative research to locate individuals and verify information relevant to active cases.
Obtain records and documents from courts, government agencies, and other institutions.
Visit courthouses to retrieve filings, case documents, and other records as needed.
Maintain organized case files, notes, and supporting documentation.
Communicate professionally with attorneys, insurance representatives, and other clients when required.

Compensation

Up to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.

Compensation will be based on investigative experience, surveillance ability, and report writing skills. Mileage reimbursement may be provided for surveillance assignments where applicable. Additional compensation may be considered if candidate has experience interviewing and obtaining witness statements with Notary.

Schedule / Hours

This is a part-time position. Work is assigned on an as-needed basis depending on active investigations and client assignments. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary significantly from week to week. Some weeks may involve 20 to 25 hours of work while other weeks may have minimal or no assignments. Investigators must be flexible and available when surveillance or investigative assignments arise, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Reliable personal vehicle.
Ability to work nights, early mornings, and weekends depending on surveillance needs.
Ability to sit for extended periods during surveillance assignments.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written communication and report writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Professional communication skills when interacting with witnesses, attorneys, and court personnel.
Willingness to travel locally for investigative assignments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with surveillance or investigative work is helpful but not required.
Experience locating individuals is helpful but not required.
Notary Public commission is helpful but not required.
Familiarity with courts and legal documents is helpful.

Required Equipment

Reliable laptop computer for report writing, case communication, and uploading surveillance media.
Smartphone capable of acting as a mobile hotspot for internet access in the field.
Digital camcorder capable of recording 1080p HD video with adequate optical zoom for surveillance work.
Tripod or monopod for surveillance video equipment.
Reliable vehicle suitable for surveillance that is low profile and not easily identifiable.
Covert camera for discreet documentation when appropriate.

Preferred Equipment

High-speed document scanner for scanning statements, records, and other investigative documents is helpful but not required.
