CASAC Trainer – Contract / Trainer Pool

Company: Recoveries R US, LLC
Location: In-Person – 127 East 105th Street, New York, NY 10029

Join Our Team of CASAC Trainers

Recoveries R US is seeking experienced, dynamic, and passionate CASAC Trainers to join our pool of professional instructors.

We are looking for seasoned professionals who not only understand the substance use disorder and recovery field, but who also know how to teach, engage, motivate, and educate adult learners in a classroom setting.

This is a contractual opportunity for qualified trainers who may be called upon to teach CASAC courses based on program scheduling and organizational needs.

Retired teachers, educators, and experienced behavioral health professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

IMPORTANT – Classroom Teaching Experience Required

Candidates MUST have a minimum of two (2) years of documented classroom teaching or training experience.

Applicants who do not possess at least two years of classroom teaching/training experience will NOT be considered for this position.

Please make sure your resume clearly identifies your teaching experience, including the organization, subject matter taught, and dates of teaching/training experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, high-quality CASAC training to adult learners.
Facilitate classroom instruction using interactive and practical teaching methods.
Present course material in a clear, organized, and professional manner.
Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and application of counseling concepts.
Create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Maintain professional boundaries and model ethical standards expected of addiction professionals.
Follow Recoveries R US curriculum, instructional policies, attendance requirements, and documentation procedures.
Work collaboratively with other trainers and program leadership to support student success.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

Current and valid CASAC credential.
Minimum of two (2) years of classroom teaching or professional training experience – REQUIRED.
Professional experience in substance use disorder treatment, recovery services, behavioral health, counseling, or a related field.
Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
Ability to effectively engage adult learners with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Dependable, professional, organized, and comfortable working in an in-person classroom environment.

Additional professional credentials, degrees, specialized certifications, and experience teaching CASAC or behavioral health courses are highly desirable.
