Full Job Description

The Respiratory Supervisor provides first-line supervision of the respiratory staff in the performance of their duties. Insures the safe and effective administration of Respiratory Care Procedures as ordered by the physician according to established standards and policies with special consideration for the age of the patient treated. Serves as a clinical resource for the staff. Provides education in an individual and/or group setting for Respiratory staff as well as to their members of the interdisciplinary health care program.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s preferred

Current New State License to practice as Respiratory Therapist

Graduate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy

NBRC Registration

RRT Certification

BLS

Minimum experience of at least two (2) years in a supervisory role for an acute care setting, preferred or related role. Additional specialized experience is a plus.

Certificate of Fitness issued by the fire department of New York City G-71 completed within the first year of employment.

Job description- The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide clinical care under the direct/indirect supervision of the Director of Respiratory and/or Respiratory Supervisor/ Lead/Charge Therapist. At the request of the physician, the Registered Respiratory Therapists will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment that are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Requirements:

Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.

Associate Degree required.

NYS Respiratory Therapist License.

National Board Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting

Certificate of Fitness issued by the fire department of New York City G-71 completed within the first year of employment

Pay: $140,000.00 per year
