Full Job Description

The Development Director is responsible for all fundraising, development, marketing, and campaign initiatives of Crispus Attucks York and the Crispus Attucks Charter School. In conjunction with the senior leadership team and the Board of Directors, the Development Director plans and executes all fundraising and communication efforts, holds responsibility for setting and achieving fundraising and communication goals, and is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with supporters.

The Development Director will work closely with the senior leadership team and Board of Directors to nurture a culture of philanthropy and to build the Board's capacity as fundraisers and advocates. The Development Director will also work closely with the volunteer-based Development Committee to receive guidance on strategies.

This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of CAY.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and Government entities with input from the CEO and the Board of Directors
Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive strategy to creatively market programs and events of Crispus Attucks York and the Crispus Attucks Charter School, in conjunction with our Marketing Director
Implement and evaluate the organization's stewardship plan to build and maintain relationships with donors with the goal of establishing a major gifts program
Lead Development Committee meetings
Oversee the grant researching, writing, and reporting process
Oversee and track the implementation of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Scholarship Program
Maintain and submit monthly progress reports to the CEO and Board of Directors
Manage the organization's donor and prospect database (Panorama)
Assist with developing and implementing the organization’s strategic plan
Assist with planning and preparing for special events, including the MLK Day of Service and the Annual Meeting
Other duties as assigned



Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
