Field Marketing Representative

TC Backer Construction | York, PA

$25/Hour | 40 Hours/Week | W-2 | Company Vehicle | Full Benefits

Get Out of the Office. Get Into the Community! If the idea of sitting behind a desk for eight hours a day makes you a little crazy, keep reading. TC Backer Construction is looking for an outgoing, energetic Field Marketing Representative to become one of the faces of our company throughout York County.

This is part marketing, part community outreach, part content creation, and a whole lot of getting out there and making things happen. It is NOT a sales position.

You won't price jobs. You won't close contracts. And you won't be measured solely by how many appointments you set. Your job is to make sure that when TC Backer is working in a neighborhood, people know we're there.

What Does a Field Marketing Rep Actually Do? Think of yourself as our boots on the ground and face in the neighborhood. When TC Backer has a project underway, you'll help us maximize our presence in the surrounding community.

On any given day, you might:

Place door hangers around active job sites
Set and maintain yard signs throughout neighborhoods
Attend local events and community activities
Talk naturally with homeowners about TC Backer and the work we're doing nearby
Have casual conversations about roofing, gutters and exterior home needs
Capture photos and short videos from active job sites
Gather before-and-after content for our social media team
Help identify neighborhoods and events where TC Backer should have a stronger presence
Keep company marketing materials looking professional and visible

And yes, sometimes those conversations will turn into homeowners wanting an inspection or estimate.

You'll connect them with our sales team and let them take it from there. This Isn't Traditional Door Knocking. We're not handing you a canned script and telling you to pressure strangers into appointments. We're looking for someone who can have a normal conversation.

"Hey, we're doing the Johnsons' roof a few houses down. Have you had anyone take a look at yours lately?"

That's much closer to what we're after. You're there to create awareness, build familiarity, and make TC Backer visible in the communities where we're already working. Appointments are a natural result of doing that well—not the entire purpose of the job.

You'll Probably Love This Job If:

You're the person who can walk into a room where you don't know anybody and leave knowing five people.
You're comfortable starting conversations.
You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do next.
You like being outside, driving around, meeting people and having some control over your day.
And you're comfortable pulling out your phone to grab a good photo or quick video when you see something worth sharing.

We can teach you roofing. We can't teach personality, initiative or reliability.

What You'll Need:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Comfortable driving a company vehicle
Ability to spend extended periods walking and working outdoors
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
Basic comfort taking photos and short videos with a smartphone
Strong communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to organize your own routes and daily activities
Some evening and weekend availability for community events
