Full Job Description

Newark, NJ - St. Michael's Medical Center

The Respiratory Therapy program is based out of our Altoona, PA campus. This position will assist with precepting students for the program in the Newark, NJ area.

Clinical Instructors provide primary supervision of students during clinical activities. They must be a resource to students at all times, review all documentation and maintain two‐way communications throughout the assigned shift with the student. Clinical Instructors must also utilize instructional methodology consistent with YTI Career Institute’s learning model to the levels and needs of individual students that will ultimately cause students to develop employable skills leading them to jobs that are commensurate with student ability and employer expectation.

Teaching experience is NOT required; training provided

Receive and respond to ongoing training, development, and feedback
Mentor and help guide students of all levels achieve their best

Position Requirements:

Must be a current Registered Respiratory Therapist at St. Michael's Medical Center
3+ years work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Current license in New Jersey as RCP
RRT Certification required
Associates Degree from an accredited CoArc program required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great interpersonal skills
