Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and delivering clear financial insights. Your expertise in QuickBooks accounting software and systems will enable smooth financial operations, supporting our growth and success from the comfort of your home. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a flexible, remote environment. Ideal candidate may be asked to pick up documents from time to time as we develope a system to be more reliant on uploading documents remotely.

Duties

Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance sheets regularly to maintain precise financial data.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks desktop through remote connection.
Data entry of all bills and payments, including creating of invoices.
Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Potentially apply client payments and create vendor invoices in custom software designed for our specific industry.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
Proficiency in accounting software of QuickBooks (Desktop).
Solid knowledge of corporate accounting practices.
Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management.
Ability to interpret financial concepts and prepare accurate financial reports with attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Belmont, NC 28012
