Hours and Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 PM. Ability to work weekends as needed, as well as being on call, certain days, “24/7.”

About The Role
As a photo imaging specialist on the NCMEC Digital Media Team, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping protect children by creating and sharing critical missing child posters and digital content that reaches the public through NCMEC’s digital platforms. You will also handle the daily management of social media platforms and scheduling tools to ensure the timely and effective dissemination of missing child alerts.
Your work will directly support the recovery of missing children through timely, high-quality images and information distributed across social media and the web. In this position, you’ll combine creative photo editing skills with strong organizational abilities to help families find their missing children and strengthen NCMEC’s ability to raise awareness and mobilize the public.
What You’ll Do
- Create, edit, retouch, and prepare professional missing child posters, ensuring images are clear, respectful, and optimized for public recognition and rapid dissemination.
- Manage and update photo imaging databases, encode images and case information, and maintain accurate records for all media-ready cases.
- Handle the preparation, certification, and quality control process for media-ready missing child posters in accordance with NCMEC procedures.
- Manage a high volume of daily social media posts and support the rapid dissemination of missing child alerts and NCMEC messaging across platforms.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for urgent child safety messages and missing child alert cases as needed.
- Provide photo editing, design, and data entry support to the digital media team, call center, case management, and other departments.
- Respond to internal and external requests for posters, electronic image dissemination, and related information, including timely recovery notifications.
- Notify clearinghouses and law enforcement of new, revised, restricted, or recovered cases.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, law enforcement, and partners while maintaining a professional, mission-focused approach.

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in digital media, graphic design, visual communication, multimedia arts, or a closely related field is preferred.
- One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience in photo editing, digital asset management, or graphic production.
- Experience managing social media platforms and using social media scheduling tools (such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is highly preferred.
- Experience with content management systems and databases is a plus.
