Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. You will assist with a variety of dental treatments, ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for all patients. Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and setting up necessary equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate advanced medical imaging tools such as 3D scanners while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.
Support patient management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, and managing patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed.
Follow all dental sterilization procedures and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners. Current X-ray certification (required)
Familiarity with dental software systems like Open Dental for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
Ability to perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures accurately.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards including aseptic technique and medical documentation practices.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
