We are The Miami Valley Group, an Executive Search and Recruiting Firm and our client company, “Sheridan” is looking for a Press Operator to join their team at their plant in Hanover, PA. They are one of the largest industrial printers in North America (See Website, www.sheridan.com). They are an established leader providing printing services to publishers of books, journals, magazines, and catalogs around the world! Their investment in people, facilities, equipment and technology has made them an industry leader as they continue to cultivate their craft and evolve with industry’s changes. They have a team of the highest caliber professionals, all of whom are dedicated to the delivery of high-quality print products globally.

This is a night shift opportunity and the hours are as follows:

SHIFT: 5PM-5AM (3DAYS WEEK 1, 4 DAYS WEEK 2)

So, in week one you will work 3days and get 4 days off and in week 2 you will work 4 days and get 3 days off.

What you will be doing

Operate and maintain offset press equipment, ensuring every job runs efficiently, safely, and to customer specifications. Printing press experience is a plus but not required.

Set up, operate, and maintain printing press equipment to meet production and quality targets.
Review job jackets to understand all customer requirements and communicate them clearly to your crew.
Lead press helpers during production and downtime, ensuring smooth workflow and quality output
Monitor quality throughout each run—verifying color, registration, and stock specifications, and adjusting as needed.
Identify and correct visual defects to maintain consistency and accuracy.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on press equipment.
Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

What you will need

High School Diploma or GED
Commitment to teamwork, communication, and safety
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical or quality issues
