Overview

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with speed and accuracy, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Follow established recipes and presentation standards to deliver appealing meals that delight guests
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Manage food production during peak hours to ensure timely service without compromising quality
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pots, poaching stations, and knives with skill and safety awareness
Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen environment

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a focus on high-volume food production environments
Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
Proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
Excellent knife skills and ability to handle multiple food handling tasks simultaneously
Experience with dietary department standards and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant or food service setting
Familiarity with menu planning, food industry trends, and customer service principles
