Ist Shift - 7am - 330 pm

Payrate: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour BOE
Weekly pay
Full benefits once hired by out client

The CNC Machine Operator will observe milling and plaining machine operation and adjust controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances. This position reports directly to the designated shift supervisor.

Job Duties

Position and secure workpieces on machines, using holding devices, measuring instruments, hand tools and hoists.
Remove workpieces from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Verify alignment of workpieces on machines, using measuring instruments such as rules, gauges, or calipers.
Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly.
Monitor equipment operation to ensure that products are not flawed.
Verify conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, or fixed or telescoping gauges.
Study machining instructions, job orders, or blueprints to determine dimensional or finish specifications, sequences of operations, setups, or tooling requirements.
Change worn cutting tools, using wrenches.
Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools, according to machining instructions or knowledge of metal properties.
Install tools in spindles.
Ability to write G code and conversation code
Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required)
Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily
Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt.
Attend monthly all shop meetings

Requirements

Experience using hand tools
Ability to follow oral and written work orders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize as needed
Ability to adapt to changes adequately
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
The ability to lift 70 lbs. The ability to withstand working in varying temperatures.
