Position Summary
This position is much more than a traditional office administration role.
The Office Administrator & Compliance Coordinator serves as the administrative backbone of the company, supporting ownership by ensuring daily operations remain organized, compliant, and efficient.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities without constant supervision. What You'll Do
Administrative & Office Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the office to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and company calendars.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and company documents.
- Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors.
- Support ownership with special projects and administrative initiatives.
- Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for internal staff.
Financial Administration
- Assist with bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries.
- Track financial transactions and maintain organized financial records.
- Prepare reports and documentation for ownership and accounting.
Inventory Management & Cannabis Compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Microsoft Excel and METRC.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and audits.
- Ensure all inventory records remain accurate, complete, and compliant with Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) requirements.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and documentation.
- Support state and local licensing renewals and compliance filings.
Accuracy within METRC is critical to this role. The successful candidate must understand the importance of maintaining complete, timely, and compliant inventory records.
Workplace Operations & Leadership Support
- Help foster a culture of accountability by ensuring company policies, attendance expectations, and established procedures are consistently followed.
- Support ownership in maintaining an organized, professional, and respectful workplace.
- Assist with employee documentation, performance records, and compliance-related matters.
- Identify administrative or operational issues and proactively recommend solutions.
- Help ensure employees have the tools and resources needed to perform their jobs successfully.
Confidential Administrative Support
- Handle confidential company and employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist ownership with compliance documentation, HR administration, and business records.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

- Keep administrative tasks organized, accurate, and up to date.
- Maintain compliant METRC and inventory records.
- Help ownership stay organized by identifying issues before they become problems.

Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of office administration experience.
- Strong experience using QuickBooks.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience using METRC.
- Previous cannabis industry experience.
- Familiarity with Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) regulations.
- Inventory management experience.
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong administrative, accounting, inventory, or compliance experience are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 40+ hours per week
- Occasional flexibility may be required based on business needs.
Compensation
$21–$25/hour + Performance-Based Pay Increases
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
