Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking Psychiatrists that are boarded in the state of California (not required to live in California) to act as a Medical Legal / Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME). The Doctor will be performing evaluations related to Worker Compensation cases.

Create your own schedule and choose which days (Monday - Saturday) and hours (8am - 5pm) we schedule evaluations.
Option to work via telehealth (with authorization) or in-person.
Reimbursement starts at $4,030 per evaluation, plus additional reimbursement for records and Psychological testing. Opportunity to earn $200,000-$500,000/year

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with board certification in Psychiatry.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in psychiatric practice.

Medical Evaluation Management is a premier medical-legal practice management organization dedicated to serving the needs of Qualified Medical Evaluators (QMEs) and Independent Medical Evaluators (IMEs), primarily within the California Workers’ Compensation system.

We partner with a diverse network of expert physicians, minimizing their administrative burdens so they can focus exclusively on delivering accurate, thorough, and unbiased evidence-based assessments.

What We Do:

We handle the full scope of administrative and operational services required for a successful med-legal practice, including:

Comprehensive Practice Management: Strategic guidance and operational optimization for QME/IME practices.
Case Coordination: Efficient scheduling, logistics, and management of a high volume of complex cases.
Compliance & Administration: Ensuring strict adherence to DWC (Division of Workers’ Compensation) regulations, managing the Review of Record, Transcription, and final report delivery.
Financial Services: Handling billing and collections to ensure maximum and timely reimbursement for our doctors.
