Amazing Grace Arizona Families (AGAF) is seeking compassionate, motivated, and professional individuals to join our Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) Team serving families throughout Yuma County.
This rewarding position supports the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) by helping parents develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to build safe, healthy, and nurturing relationships with their children.
As an NPP Practitioner, you will provide evidence-based parenting education, family support, and individualized coaching designed to strengthen families and promote child safety and well-being.

Position Summary
Nurturing Parenting Program Practitioners provide in-home and community-based parenting education services to families referred by the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS). Practitioners deliver the nationally recognized Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum while building positive relationships with parents and caregivers through education, encouragement, and support.
Services are provided throughout Yuma County and may occur in family homes, community settings, schools, libraries, DCS offices, or other approved locations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver the Nurturing Parenting Program curriculum in accordance with program standards.
- Conduct parenting education sessions with parents, caregivers, and families.
- Build professional, supportive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Assess family strengths, needs, and progress throughout service delivery.
- Develop individualized service plans that support family goals.
- Maintain accurate, objective, and timely case documentation.
- Complete required reports and documentation within established timelines.
- Communicate effectively with DCS Specialists, supervisors, caregivers, and community partners.
- Participate in required supervision, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies, DCS requirements, and applicable laws.
- Manage an assigned caseload while maintaining flexibility to meet family scheduling needs.
- Travel throughout Yuma County to provide services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- Reliable, smoke-free vehicle with current registration and automobile insurance
- Clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
- No DUI/DWI convictions or at-fault accidents within the previous 39 months
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
- Possess (or obtain upon hire) an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Ability to successfully complete all required DCS and Nurturing Parenting Program training
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Child Welfare
- Parenting Education
- Social Services
- Behavioral Health
- Family Preservation
- Human Services
- Case Management
- Early Childhood Education
Additional qualifications:
- Experience working with at-risk children and families
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and family-centered practices
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Experience facilitating educational groups or providing parent coaching
Schedule
This position offers flexibility while meeting the needs of the families we serve.
Availability is preferred during:
- After-school hours
- Evenings
- Occasional weekends
- School breaks and holidays, when services are scheduled
