Compensation: $15.50-$18.50 per hour (3-4 hours per week*)(+$1/hr Spanish fluency differential)

one n ten is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and assisting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ + ) youth ages 11 to 24. From weekly discussion groups to fun, social networking events, we create a safe space, mentally and physically, for youth of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

JOB SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
The Yuma Satellite Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing one•n•ten’s positive youth development programs one night per week on Tuesday evenings.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and oversee weekly program and activities that support positive youth development outcomes for youth 11-24 years old
- Lead age-appropriate group activities, including those emphasizing education, safety, LGBTQ+ community building, healthy choices, and community engagement
- Establish and enforce safe-space guidelines consistent with organizational goals/mission
- Demonstrate leadership to ensure appropriate conduct, risk management and development of participants
- Actively recruit new youth participants utilizing in person and online outreach
- Evaluate programs on a continual basis to ensure programs/activities are relevant and meet the needs and interests of the participants.
- Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with regular volunteers to support mission success, encourage ongoing engagement, and promote a positive volunteer experience.
- Purchase supplies and snacks in accordance with approved budget
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of one•n•ten programs, services, and events
- Exemplary verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Able to motivate others; oversee youth participants and weekly volunteers
- Understand, value and respect diversity , including diversity within the LGBTQ + and BIPOC commun i ties
- Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and maintain confidentiality when required
- Uphold exceptional boundaries with you th participants and partner organizations
- Work as an independent self-starter, without regular direct supervision, as well as a member of a team
- Prepare and communicate accurate, concise and timely reports
- Provide and accept constructive feedback to/from supervisors, peers, volunteers, and youth participants
- Operate with a trauma informed care approach
- Maintain a high level of professional energy and enthusiasm
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 and/ or able to learn quickly
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred but not required
- Experience working with teens and young adults
- Current CPR & First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain
- Spanish Fluency Differential eligibility is contingent upon successfully passing the organization’s Spanish Fluency Assessment
