Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the collision center, including production, financial results, customer satisfaction, employee development, repair quality, and operational efficiency.
This position requires someone who can effectively lead a team, maintain workflow, support customers throughout the repair process, and ensure repairs are completed safely and according to company standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with estimators, technicians, customer service staff, parts personnel, insurance partners, vendors, and regional leadership to achieve operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all daily collision center operations
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members
- Maintain production schedules and repair flow
- Drive customer satisfaction and communication
- Monitor repair quality and adherence to OEM procedures
- Build relationships with insurance partners and vendors
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Review financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company, safety, and environmental standards
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3+ years of collision repair management experience
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Understanding of collision repair operations and production management
- Experience working with insurance companies and DRP relationships
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Financial and operational management experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
