Position Title: Membership Sales & Engagement Coordinator
Reports to: Operations Manager and Executive Director
Type: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: DOE, starting at $37,000 annually + performance bonuses based on sales totals Benefits: Paid major holidays, office closure during the winter holiday period paid, two weeks paid vacation after one year, mileage reimbursement (with access to a shared company car), and minimal additional benefits offered, no health insurance.
Location: Yuma County, including primary outreach to City of Yuma
Position Overview:
The Membership Sales & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for membership recruitment, retention, and relationship management. This role encompasses sales outreach, customer service, CRM management, event coordination, and communications support. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and driven to grow the Chamber’s impact in the local business community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Membership Sales & Revenue Generation (Primary Focus)
Actively recruit new members through outreach, referrals, and business visits
Promote sponsorship and advertising opportunities to new and existing members
Serve as the point of contact for prospective members as needed
Track and report daily sales activity and revenue generation to the Executive Director
2. Member Services & Retention
Act as the primary point of contact for City of Yuma members
Coordinate and conduct new member orientations; manage tracking and invitations
Oversee the Ambassador Program, including meeting coordination, volunteer scheduling, and communications
Monitor and record benefit usage in ChamberMaster, providing quarterly status reports to members
Send member updates, announcements, and correspondence via ChamberMaster
Conduct regular check-ins with members to ensure satisfaction and retention
Assist with collections of outstanding membership dues
3. Marketing & Communication Support
Post new member welcome messages and ribbon cutting recaps on social media
Maintain and update the new member slideshow for digital and in-person presentations
Provide backup support for writing and scheduling Chamber radio spots
Coordinate monthly communications for new members with El Dorado Broadcasters, Campesinas, and Ambassadors
Submit ribbon cutting announcements to the Yuma Sun for inclusion in BIZ magazine
4. CRM & Administrative Management (Secondary Focus)
Maintain accurate member data in ChamberMaster, including check logging, benefit tracking, and referral entries
Input annual and seasonal passes into ChamberMaster
Approve calendar event submissions and ensure timely posting
Log and track prospective member inquiries
Support Board meeting documentation by backing up minute-takers as needed
5. Event & Program Coordination
Oversee and coordinate all Yuma County ribbon cuttings
Send invitations to board members and ambassadors for ribbon cuttings and related events
Attend events, perform on-site duties (registration, sponsor check-ins, etc.), and capture photos for marketing archives
Assist with event registration, raffles, and coordination of gift baskets
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Achievement of monthly new member acquisition and sponsorship/revenue targets
Active participation and retention within the Ambassador Program
Timely and accurate CRM maintenance
High engagement levels among members as measured by feedback and benefit usage
Consistent and effective social media presence for new members and events
Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, customer service, membership services, or a similar field
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to meet revenue and engagement targets
Experience with CRM systems (preferably ChamberMaster), MS Office Suite, and Google Workspace, Canva, Facebook Business Suite and Meta, Photoshop)
Proficiency with social media platforms and content scheduling tools
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to travel within Yuma County for member outreach and events
Working event hours is required, including early mornings or evenings
Must be able to lift 20–30 lbs occasionally (for event setup)
Office environment with standard working hours, with flexibility for events and meetings
Pay: From $37,000.00 per year
