Title: Loader/Order Picker

Summary/objective:
The Loader/Order Picker Position is responsible for picking and pre-staging orders, as well as loading trucks with various commodities according to the correct configuration and weight distribution outlined on the loading manifests.

- Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack in a safe, efficient and precise manner
- Conducts pre-op inspection of forklift and completion of inspection report and report issues to supervision
- Inspects trailers for cleanliness and/or damage before loading product
- Loads product on trucks with correct configuration and weight distribution
- Utilizes scan guns to load products by commodity, size, and quantity
- Reads, understands, and executes Loading Manifests and Bill of Ladings
- Effectively communicates with supervision
- Manually stacks and re-stacks cartons
- Organizes and labels pre-staged and cross dock pallets
- Picks and pre-stages orders for both delivery and outbound trucks
- Verifies pallet tag quantities, builds orders, and scans product RTL with scan gun
- Operates machinery and equipment including, but not limited to scan guns, forklifts, forced air tunnels, dock plates, truck restraints, dock levelers, etc.
- Maintains high levels of productivity
- Follows verbal and written instructions from supervision
- Maintains awareness of all safety aspects and dangers of machinery

Work environment:
· Work in a 34-36 degrees Fahrenheit warehouse environment
· Work Monday to Saturday
· Work overtime when necessary
· Regular and consistent attendance mandatory
Required education and experience:
- Complete & pass company forklift certification test
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide)
- Work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Preferred experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of forklift driving and loading experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
· $21.00 per hour guaranteed minimum; position is compensated under a piece-rate pay structure. Actual earnings may exceed $21.00 per hour based on piece-rate production
· Overtime: Time and one-half after 8 hours worked in a day and/or 40 hours worked in a workweek, as applicable.
· Health Benefits: Health benefits are available to eligible employees in accordance with Company plan terms.
· Paid Sick Leave: Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave.
· Paid Holidays: 7 paid holidays per year for eligible employees.
· Vacation Check: Eligible employees receive a vacation check once per season.
Benefits are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
