Full Job Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a high-energy, technically adept Technical Sales Representative to drive B2B business growth for our soy protein portfolio in the U.S. market. This role bridges the gap between science and commerce. You will leverage your food science background to solve formulation challenges for food manufacturers while executing strategic sales plans. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to facilitate seamless communication between our global supply network and domestic clients.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Consultation & Solution Selling

Consultative Selling: Understand clients' product formulation challenges and recommend technical protein solutions
R&D Collaboration: Partner closely with clients’ R&D, Food Scientists, and Product Development teams to provide technical data, application support, and formulation guidance.
Sample Management: Coordinate the deployment of ingredient samples, oversee client product trials, and gather technical feedback to secure commercial adoption.

Business Development & Account Management

Pipeline Growth: Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with food manufacturers, co-packers, and distributors across North America.
Relationship Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction, retention, and annual volume growth.
Commercial Negotiation: Manage the full sales cycle including quoting, pricing negotiation, contract signing, and sales forecasting.

Market Intelligence

Trend Tracking: Monitor US food industry trends, consumer shifts (e.g., clean label, plant-based), and competitor movements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a closely related scientific discipline.
Experience: 2–5 years of successful B2B technical sales, account management, or business development experience in the food ingredients.
Language Skills: Native or professional fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and verbal) is strictly required.
Technical Savvy: Ability to read technical data sheets (TDS), certificates of analysis (COA), and discuss food chemistry comfortably with client scientists.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30–50% for on-site client visits, factory audits, and industry trade shows (e.g., IFT, SupplySide West).
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
