About the Role SisuCare is actively seeking dedicated and passionate CNA Clinical and Skills Instructors (LVN) to join our growing team of nursing faculty across Texas.
The CNA Clinical and Skills Instructor (LVN) is responsible for providing skills laboratory and clinical instruction within the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). The instructor supports students in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors necessary for safe, entry-level Nurse Aide practice and ensures that all assigned instructional activities are conducted in accordance with Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) requirements, applicable federal regulations, and institutional policies.

Supervision Structure The Clinical and Skills Instructor operates under the direction of the Program Director. The Program Director retains responsibility for program administration, curriculum oversight, faculty supervision, regulatory compliance, student outcomes reporting, and final approval of competency completion.
The Clinical and Skills Instructor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, instruction, and evaluation of students during assigned skills laboratory and clinical training activities.
What You'll Do:
- Provide skills laboratory and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved NATCEP curriculum.
- Assist students in developing competency in required Nurse Aide skills and procedures.
- Promote resident-centered care, professionalism, safety, infection control, and ethical practice.
- Demonstrate and supervise required Nurse Aide skills and procedures; conduct skills check-offs and competency evaluations.
- Observe, evaluate, and document student performance, providing timely feedback and coaching to students.
- Reinforce resident rights, infection control practices, communication skills, safety procedures, and professional standards.
- Provide direct supervision of students during all assigned skills laboratory and clinical training activities, remaining physically present during scheduled sessions.
- Evaluate student competency through direct observation and skills validation.
- Ensure students comply with facility policies and procedures during clinical training, and communicate with facility personnel as necessary to support student learning and clinical operations.
- Ensure a safe learning environment for students and residents.
- Maintain accurate attendance, evaluation, and competency records.
- Assist with preparation for regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to the Program Director.
- Maintain current knowledge of long-term care practices and instructional methodologies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.
What We're Looking For:
- Current, active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Experience providing care to elderly, chronically ill, or long-term care residents.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, supervise, or train healthcare personnel.
- Working knowledge of Texas HHSC NATCEP requirements and applicable federal regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

- Mornings Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (skills/clinical days)
- Evenings Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturdays & Sundays | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (skills/clinical days)
