Job Description
We are seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable to work with us and our client portfolios. In this role, you will assist with billing, reporting, collection, reviewing and training related to the Accounts Receivable processes at within our company and its client’s facilities under the supervision of the Chief Accounting Officer. You will provide oversight to the Business Office Managers at our client’s facilities, and you will oversee accounts receivable billing and collection. You will be asked to train Business Office Managers in facilities, and you will work with them regularly. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping to set up control systems. An effective Manager of Accounts Receivable has experience and expertise with Medicare and Medicaid billing practices. You must be an organized professional with a great eye for detail. You must be dependable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. Th.is position requires healthcare experience. A moderate amount of travel may be required from time to time. This position is an in-person position.

Responsibilities

· Oversee daily functions related to the billing and collection of Accounts Receivable

· Understand and oversee the set-up and usage of electronic billing systems, which may include PointClick Care, Myability, Availity, RFMS, among others

· Bill, review, collect and oversee client’s accounts receivable

· Perform month-end closing for accounts receivable

· Train Business Office Managers on accounts receivable billing and collection practices

· Maintain, review and balance trust fund accounts

· Assist in the preparation of accounts receivable budgets and forecasts

· Create bad debt reports

· Perform monthly census and revenue reconciliation reports

· Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with established best practices

· Assist the Finance Department and Executive Management Team, as needed and as requested

Skills

· Proven experience as Manager of Accounts Receivable or other similar position

· Exceptional knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing and collection practices, requirements and rules

· Understanding data analysis and forecasting

· Ability to meet business plans and strategic objectives

· Proven experience training, supporting and mentoring business office managers at healthcare facilities

· Knowledge of healthcare billing software programs, including Point Click Care knowledge, Myability, Availity, RFMS, among others

· Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP)

· Well-organized with ability to prioritize

· Relates well to diverse groups of individuals using diplomacy and tact

· Team player with excellent communication and people skills

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multitask
