Lead Field Superintendent (Utilities & Sitework)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on field leader to support and grow our civil construction operations across multiple companies, including sewer systems, sitework, and equipment services.This role will start as a working leadership position, responsible for operating equipment, leading a field crew, and executing projects. Over time, this individual will grow into a senior leadership role overseeing all field operations.This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career and take ownership of a growing operation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Field Execution (Primary Focus)
- Operate heavy equipment (dozer, excavator/track hoe), including finish grade work
- Lead 1 field crew on-site (occasionally supporting a second crew)
- Perform and oversee land clearing, dirt work, and utility installation
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification
Leadership & Crew Oversight
- Direct daily crew activities and set production goals
- Train and develop crew members
- Maintain accountability for performance, quality, and job progress
Project Coordination
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and jobsite logistics
- Identify and solve field issues in real time
Utilities & Civil Work
- Execute and oversee installation of sewer, water, and related utilities
- Ensure all work meets municipal and project requirements
Growth & Advancement
- Gradually take on more responsibility in:
- Managing multiple crews
- Scheduling and planning
- Budget awareness and job performance
- Opportunity to grow into a role leading all field operations
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years experience in civil construction, utilities, or sitework
- Strong equipment operation skills (dozer and excavator required)
- Ability to run a crew and lead from the front
- Experience with utilities (sewer, water, drainage)
- Ability to read plans and work independently
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow into a leadership role

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
