Who we are: BoBo’s Cafe

In 1949, Paul “Bo” Bernardi was the man to see for a fresh hot cup of coffee. He was passionate about the brew he served his customers who would come for the quality coffee and stay for the community, conversations and culture. His devotion to curating a quality product that passed on through generations – fast forward to 2015 his son and grandsons were inspired to pick up the baton and open BoBo’s Cafe. Since the opening in 2015, Craig, Glen and Mr. B expanded beyond coffee creating an all-encompassing menu. A fresh trendy menu that pushes the boundaries and appeals to the masses. Along with the menu expansion, we continue on our grandfather's mission in hospitality and seek to develop personal relationships within the communities we serve.

BoBo’s exists to create a safe place within the community that facilitates positive human interactions (build relationships, network and feel connected) – we happen to have great food and coffee.

BoBo’s is a place where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

We currently have four locations in New York (Somers, Baldwin Place, and Chappaqua) and one location in Connecticut (Ridgefield). We are also looking to open up more locations in the future.

Who you are: As an employee at BoBo’s Cafe, you are a joyful person who takes pride in the work they produce. Ideal employees are able to build customer relations, and cater to each customer's individual wants and needs. Ideal employees thrive in high volume environments, while working closely with their co-workers in a team oriented atmosphere.

What you’ll do:

Interact and communicate with peers and guests with respect and hospitality
Possess a knowledge of our Menu, and have the ability to answer questions about the menu.
Possess a knowledge of coffee drinks and ability to prepare classic espresso beverages (cappuccinos, lattes, specialty drinks, etc.), as well as a familiarity with current trends in the specialty coffee and tea industry.
Demonstrate an ability to create beverages in line with Bobo’s standards
Operate a Cash register.
Work with a sense of urgency, attention to detail and execute orders specific to customer requests.
Bag and prepare pickup orders for customers.
Serving ready orders to customers, whether it be dine-in orders or pickup orders.
Call out names and repeat back orders.
Keep stations stocked and clean.
Keep Cafe clean and presentable.
Organize, restock and rotate products.
Keep coffee and teas stocked accordingly.
Prepare Cold Brew for the next day.
Communicate with the store manager when supplies are needed.
Supports the BoBo’s team whenever needed (employee call-outs, catering, etc.)

What we need from you:

Eagerness to continue learning and growing in the position.
Being able to multitask when needed.
Being able to stand for long periods.
Be able to lift at least 25 Pounds.
Experience working in a cafe or restaurant with a similar environment is preferred.
A positive mindset and attitude.
English fluency. Additional languages preferred, but not required.
