Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient family medicine practice on a part-time basis. The provider will deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including acute sick visits, pediatric and adult preventive care, chronic disease management, and routine physical examinations.
Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Hours are scheduled based on office needs and provider availability.
Patient Volume
- Approximately 20–25 patients per day
- No chronic pain management
- No narcotic prescribing
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages for acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform annual physicals and preventive health visits for children and adults
- Conduct well-child visits and provide age-appropriate anticipatory guidance
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
- Develop treatment plans and coordinate referrals when appropriate
- Educate patients and families on preventive care and disease management
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using TalkEHR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, specialists, and office staff
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and the healthcare team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active and unrestricted New Jersey NP or PA license
- National certification (NCCPA for PAs or appropriate board certification for NPs)
- Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient primary care or family medicine setting is required
- Spanish-speaking preferred but not required
- Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient family medicine practice
Compensation
- Competitive part-time/per diem compensation
