Role: Senior Cloud Architect
Title: VP
Location: NYC/Menlo Park(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime
Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required
Required Experience: 15+ years
This role is built for a technically deep, hands-on architect who can move fluidly between designing elegant cloud solutions and rolling up their sleeves to bring them to life. You'll work at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and security—partnering with cross-functional teams to design systems that are scalable, resilient, and built for the demands of real-time trading at scale. You must be energized by hard infrastructure problems, passionate about cloud-native design, and eager to leave a lasting technical mark on a high-growth platform.
Required
- 15+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering, with at least 5 years focused on architecting multi-tenant SaaS or PaaS platforms in production — not PoCs, real tenants with real SLAs
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS/GCP and its core services (EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, RDS, S3, and beyond)
- Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience — network policies, service mesh, workload identity, and autoscaling in environments where failure has consequences
- Strong command of infrastructure as code and modern CI/CD tooling, with a track record of driving consistency, repeatability, and auditability across environments
- Proven ability to design tenant isolation at scale — you understand silo, pool, and bridge patterns and know when to use each based on risk, cost, and compliance tradeoffs
- Solid cloud security instincts: zero-trust architecture, mTLS, secrets management, IAM least-privilege, and network segmentation in regulated environments
- Experience designing for compliance — SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, or equivalent financial-sector frameworks — and you know what audit-readiness actually requires day to day
- Clear, confident communicator who can write an ADR engineers act and walk an IT head through the same design
- Self-directed and comfortable driving architecture forward independently
- A hands-on builder at heart: equally at home whiteboarding a multi-tenant isolation model and reviewing a Terraform plan or Kubernetes event log in a live incident
- Desired
- Capital markets or wealth management domain knowledge — OMS, portfolio workflows, market data feeds, or custodian connectivity gives you a meaningful head start
- Experience building or integrating white-label SaaS products or multi-brand platform environments
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures in high-throughput financial contexts
- Exposure to clearing and settlement connectivity
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar for infrastructure automation and internal tooling
