Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to join our team and support the collection, analysis, and reporting of company sales data. This individual will play a key role in measuring results against business plans and past forecasts, supporting future sales data forecasting, and ensuring accurate CRM and ERP data across the sales function.
This role is pivotal to the Sales Department and works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and comfortable balancing data work with cross-functional coordination. Flavor House, Food & Beverage, or related industry experience
Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Operational Liaison & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the key interface between sales and operations, facilitating smooth order entry and timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate with operations on inventory and fulfillment issues to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Partner closely with sales leadership.
- Provide direct support and coordination with high-value, strategic growth customers, including both tactical and strategic operational needs.
Sales Data Analysis & Reporting
- Provide weekly sales reports to department managers and executives.
- Collect and analyze company sales data; measure results against business plans and past forecasts to determine whether goals were met.
- Support future sales data forecasting efforts.
- Interpret sales metrics and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Provide suggestions and solutions to help increase sales and revenue.
CRM & ERP Systems Management
- Manage and maintain ERP — implement and adjust configurations as needed per sales team requirements.
- Manage planning parameters in the ERP via the item master (lead times, min/max, safety stock, pay terms).
- Audit and execute contracts and banking documentation in ERP to support creation of permanent client profiles in internal systems.
- Lead the effort to redesign Microsoft CRM functionality and increase utilization across the sales team.
- Project-manage CRM migration and implementation activities as required.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work cross-functionally with departments to determine customer needs, advertising, and promotional pricing methods as needed.
- Offer suggestions for new products and services that Abstrax can explore.
- Support and assist marketing managers, including logistics of travel arrangements and distribution of outgoing mail.
- Assist with operations as needed — including receiving inventory, processing product, cashier support, and sales representative support.
Customer Communication
- Facilitate and maintain standardized customer communication.
- Receive incoming sales calls and provide solutions to client communications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field
- 2+ years of Sales Operations or relevant experience required.
- ERP / CRM software knowledge and experience, Experience with Sage X3 highly desirable
- Flavor House, Food & Beverage, or related industry experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other data functions.
- Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry and administrative tasks.
- Understanding of sales processes and efficient customer service techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in an ever-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills including active listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, leadership, motivation, flexibility, and patience.
- Passion for fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Supervisory and leadership experience preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
