Nationwide manufacturing company seeking skilled maintenance mechanic with some or all of the skills listed below.
Core Technical Skills (Hard Skills)
- Mechanical Systems: Repairing and maintaining gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, motors, and pumps.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing circuits, motors, and wiring, including working with PLC systems and motor controls.
- Fluid Power Systems: Installing, repairing, and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Preventive/Predictive Maintenance: Inspecting machinery, lubricating components, and checking for wear to prevent failures.
- Technical Documentation: Reading blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
- Tool Proficiency: Using hand tools, power tools, and precision diagnostic tools (multimeters, pressure gauges).
- Welding & Fabrication: Performing MIG, TIG, or Arc welding, and pipefitting.
Industrial Safety & Compliance
- OSHA Standards: Adhering to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Hazardous Materials: Safe handling and disposal of industrial chemicals and materials.
Soft Skills & Functional Skills
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking to quickly identify and repair machine failures.
- Time Management: Prioritizing repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies and work in varied conditions.
- Communication: Documenting repairs and collaborating with production staff.
$35 and up commensurate with experience.
