What You'll Do
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to restaurant leaders, providing guidance on employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and corrective action.
- Conduct thorough investigations and ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Identify employee relations trends and proactively implement solutions to improve engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
- Coach managers on communication, leadership effectiveness, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.
Field Partnership & Culture Building
- Regularly visit restaurant locations to build strong relationships with team members and leaders.
- Assess employee engagement, identify opportunities for improvement, and help create positive team cultures.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company standards and employment regulations.
- Partner with field leadership to proactively address operational and people-related challenges.
Talent Development & Succession Planning
- Collaborate with Market Presidents, Directors of Operations, and Area Coaches to identify and develop future leaders.
- Support succession planning and bench-strength initiatives across the market.
- Partner with operations teams on onboarding and integration of new management hires.
- Train leaders on recruiting best practices and strategies to attract and retain top talent.
Training & Organizational Effectiveness
- Facilitate leadership and HR training on topics including:
- Performance management
- Harassment prevention
- Workplace investigations
- FLSA compliance
- Employment law
- Flynn Group and Taco Bell policies
- Support initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and operational performance.
Compliance & HR Administration
- Manage responses to EEOC charges, unemployment claims, Department of Labor inquiries, and other employment-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Oversee background checks, I-9 compliance, personnel documentation, and employee records.
- Partner with corporate HR teams to ensure employees receive accurate compensation, benefits, and HR support.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Restaurant, Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit operational experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence leaders at all levels.
- Strong employee relations and investigation experience.
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience supporting frontline, hourly workforces.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive results through partnership.
- Passion for developing people, improving culture, and supporting business growth.
