About the Role

What you will do

Follow-up with insurance carriers on underpaid claims by phone; complete follow-up actions as advised
Research claim variances in hospital patient accounting systems (EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Athena)
Draft appeals to insurance carriers on denied or underpaid claims
Review claim detail including coding, billing and insurance information for discrepancies
Run claims data through various pricing software

What you will bring

Strong healthcare industry knowledge
Ability to troubleshoot and remedy claim submission errors
Demonstrated attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-Oriented and Flexible
Creative Problem-solving skills
High School Diploma required
Hospital billing experience required

What we would like to see

Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous work from home experience
