Full Job Description

Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
Employment Type: W2 Contract, 7 Month contract with possibility for extensions
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $32.87/hour (based on experience)
Work Schedule: Alternating Shifts ( 100% Onsite)

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
(Rotates every 2–4 weeks)

Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support facility operations at a regulated site in Philadelphia. This role is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with GMP and facility standards.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on HVAC experience, is comfortable working in regulated environments, and can operate independently while collaborating with facilities teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary technician for HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, and exhaust systems
Perform and document daily equipment rounds in compliance with GMP/GDP standards
Monitor EMS/BMS systems for alarms and system performance
Respond to and troubleshoot system issues and alarms, assessing operational impact
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment
Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders and maintenance tracking
Perform condition-based maintenance to optimize system performance
Collaborate with facilities and utility teams on maintenance and repair activities
Oversee and coordinate external service providers during major maintenance or shutdowns
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

3–5 years of HVAC experience in commercial, industrial, or regulated environments
Trade school certification or equivalent military experience required
Experience with HVAC systems (air handlers, chillers, exhaust systems)
Familiarity with BMS/EMS systems and CMMS tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in GMP or regulated environments (pharma, biotech, etc.)
Experience overseeing vendors or contractors
Knowledge of facility compliance and documentation standards

Work Environment:

Onsite role in a regulated facility environment
Exposure to mechanical systems and equipment
Must follow strict safety and compliance protocols
