Position Overview
The Network Deployment Coordinator plays a critical in-office role supporting daily transportation network operations. This position acts as a key liaison between Big Star Transit, transportation providers, Owner-Operators, and client dispatch operations.
You will coordinate daily network deployment based on client capacity requirements (“run cuts”), while actively monitoring live service performance and responding to real-time operational issues that may impact service delivery.
This role requires strong communication skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to work within multiple dispatch and analytics platforms to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for Transportation Network Operators, providing real-time support for questions, issues, and performance-related concerns.
- Communicate with command centers and operational partners to resolve service disruptions quickly and effectively.
- Coordinate and assign backup capacity (standby/STBY) and supplemental resources in response to operator availability, breakdowns, incidents, or accidents.
- Monitor dispatch systems and communications channels to ensure scheduled service compliance and quality performance standards.
- Track operator performance including safety, reliability, and on-time performance, escalating concerns to the Network Deployment Manager as needed.
- Document and report contractual performance violations using the Orion platform, including safety, service reliability, and operational performance metrics.
- Process all deployment-related service requests in Orion in a timely and accurate manner.
- Initiate First Notice reports for all accidents and incidents.
- Provide daily operational summaries and performance reports to management.
- Promote positive operator engagement through professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented communication.
- Maintain independent productivity in a fast-paced, in-office environment with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Professional communication skills with strong command of English
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, transportation operations, or customer service
