Full Job Description

Clinical Project Manager, Clinical Operations

Location: Boston, MA (Remote/Hybrid)
Employment Type: 6-month Contract with potential conversion to a regular full-time position based on business needs and individual performance.

The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trials across multiple phases. This role works closely with sponsors, clinical sites, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure studies are conducted efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operational activities for assigned clinical studies from study start-up through close-out.
Coordinate study timelines, deliverables, and project milestones while proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.
Collaborate with CRAs, site staffs, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support successful study execution.
Collaborate with global project teams, including headquarters-based functional groups, to support successful study delivery and consistent communication across regions.
Monitor study progress, enrollment, site performance, and protocol compliance.
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, sponsor requirements, and applicable SOPs.
Support project planning, resource allocation, and budget tracking in collaboration with leadership.
Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate study status, risks, and action items to sponsors and internal teams.
Assist with quality management activities, including audit readiness, CAPA implementation, and inspection support.
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.
3-5 years of experience in project management or study management responsibilities within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology company, or research institution.
Working knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

More than 1-2 years of experience in project management or study management responsibilities within a CRO.
Experience managing global or multi-site clinical trials.
Experience supporting sponsor-facing projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project management training is a plus.

Travel

Ability to travel approximately 30% as needed for investigator meetings, site visits, conferences, or client meetings.

Compensation Range: $ 130K - $ 155K per year (annualized), commensurate with experience.
