Position Overview
The Charlotte Knights are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Ticket Sales to lead one of the premier ticket sales organizations in Minor League Baseball.
This is a unique opportunity for a proven sales leader who is passionate about developing people, building winning cultures, and driving sustained revenue growth. While the Charlotte Knights have established themselves as one of the league’s top-performing clubs, we believe there is significant opportunity to elevate our sales organization even further. The successful candidate will not only lead the continued growth of the Charlotte Knights but will also have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of DBH's ticketing strategy, helping shape best practices and drive success across the broader portfolio of clubs.
Reporting directly to the (General Manager?), the Vice President of Ticket Sales will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for all ticket revenue initiatives while investing heavily in the development of the sales team. Success in this role will be measured not only by revenue results, but by the growth of the people, processes, and culture that produce those results.

Leadership & Culture

Build and lead one of the highest-performing ticket sales organizations in professional sports.

Recruit, develop, coach, and retain exceptional sales talent.

Create a culture of accountability, competition, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Spend meaningful time coaching salespeople through one-on-ones, call reviews, pipeline strategy, role-playing, and deal coaching.

Develop future leaders within the organization.
Revenue Strategy

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies that drive season premium, season, group, and hospitality revenue.

Partner with Marketing to create integrated campaigns that maximize lead generation and conversion.

Build proactive outbound sales strategies that consistently grow new business.
Business Leadership

Serve as a member of the executive leadership team.

Use data and CRM insights to forecast revenue, identify opportunities, and improve sales effectiveness.

Lead pricing, inventory, and packaging strategies that maximize long-term revenue.
Sales Excellence

Personally lead major sales opportunities and corporate relationships.

Establish measurable standards for prospecting, pipeline management, follow-up, and customer experience.

Create a coaching environment where every salesperson is expected to improve throughout the season.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)

5+ years of progressive experience in ticket sales or related revenue-generating role, including 3+ years in a sales leadership position

Proven track record of designing and leading successful ticketing strategies that exceed revenue and attendance goals

Strong background in both B2C and B2B sales, with hands-on experience across full season, group, premium, and corporate sales verticals

Experience with ticketing platforms (e.g., Tickets.com, Ticketmaster, etc.) and CRM systems

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills

Deep knowledge of fan engagement, data analytics, and modern sales methodologies
