Position Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Occupational Health Fleet & Safety Manager to oversee the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations. This role is vital in ensuring that all workplace activities meet regulatory standards and promote a safe, healthy environment for employees across our manufacturing sites and fleet operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in occupational health, safety regulations, and environmental health practices, along with excellent report writing and root cause analysis skills. Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of manufacturing facilities, fleet operations, and hazardous materials handling areas to identify risks and enforce corrective actions.
- Lead training sessions on safety regulations, hazard communication, first aid procedures, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and emergency response protocols for staff at all levels.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process by ensuring proper documentation, reporting incidents accurately, and facilitating return-to-work programs.
- Oversee compliance with hazardous materials regulations and environmental health standards set by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) guidelines.
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents or near misses to prevent recurrence and improve overall safety performance.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance status for management review.
Experience
- Proven experience in occupational health management within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, hazard communication practices, and environmental health policies.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law and legal requirements related to workplace injuries.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct hazard assessments, risk analysis, and safety training programs effectively.
- Excellent report writing skills with experience in documenting investigations, compliance reports, and safety procedures.
- Background in environmental compliance standards related to hazardous materials handling and disposal.
- Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-hour/500-hour training are highly desirable.
