Annual Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 (Exempt)
Shift: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00pm–8:00am (Full-Time)
Paid Training: Two-weeks, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (In-Person)

Dimondale is a California 501(c)(3) Public Benefit Organization committed to supporting youth who have experienced trauma, instability, or significant life challenges. Our Therapeutic Shelter Home (TSH) Program provides support to youth placed in with Foster Parent(s) in Los Angeles County’s Shelter Homes.
Job Summary
The TSH Supervisor provides direct oversight, coaching, and leadership to staff supporting youth placed with Foster Parent(s) in Los Angeles County’s Shelter Homes. This position ensures high-quality care and compliance with Title 22, LA County requirements, and Dimondale policies.
You will manage staffing, conduct daily check-ins with shelter homes, support IHS staff, and engage directly with youth and shelter parents to promote stabilization, development, and safety.
Professional appearance is required at all times, as this role involves consistent interaction with families, DCFS staff, clinicians, community partners, and public settings.
A valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to Agency’s insurance carrier is required due to the community-based nature of this position and the need to transport youth.
Duties
- Supervise and support In-Home Specialists (IHS).
- Maintain IHS shift schedules and daily route coverage.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure staff adherence to trauma-informed care principles and behavioral support strategies.
- Provide direct coverage during staffing shortages or emergencies.
- Complete required daily check-ins (7:30am, 12:30pm, 10:00pm).
- Gather behavioral observations and incident updates.
- Meet with new shelter parents for orientation and engagement.
- Conduct safety and environmental checks in shelter homes.
- Assist with crisis response and on-site interventions.
- Communicate with therapists, DCFS, foster parents, and service providers.
- Coordinate referrals and resource provision.
- Oversee intake procedures, including assessing resident needs and documenting relevant information accurately through data entry and filing
- Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field + 1 year full-time experience managing residential or community-based programs for at-risk youth.
- Associate’s Degree in related field + 5 years full-time experience managing residential or community-based programs for at-risk youth.
Additional Qualifications:
The qualifications below are in addition to the education requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- 2 years full-time experience providing direct mental health services.
- 1 year supervisory experience in a licensed foster family or adoption agency (preferred).
Requirements
- Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass criminal background & child abuse index clearance.
- Valid CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Pro-ACT certification required within 30 days (provided by Dimondale).
- Professional Appearance: must be well-groomed and dressed in business casual attire during all work hours and program interactions.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse youth, families, and communities.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and professional demeanor.
