About the US India Chamber of Commerce, Austin.

The US India Chamber of Commerce Austin works to promote professional, business, and economic development in Central Texas while fostering stronger trade relations with India. The Chamber provides members with opportunities to engage with the local business community and participate in events that highlight business opportunities between Texas and India. While the Chamber has had a presence in Dallas and Houston for over 20 years, the Austin chapter was launched in late 2023. For more details, visit .

Executive Director Position at US-India Chamber of Commerce, Austin Chapter

Overview: The Executive Director will be the face of the Chamber, responsible for advancing the organization's mission of promoting business growth and economic development in Central Texas. This leadership role includes overseeing various aspects of the Chamber’s operations, such as implementing strategic plans, managing sponsorships, and engaging with the community and stakeholders. The Executive Director will have the opportunity to build valuable relationships with the business communities in both Austin, Texas, and India.

Responsibilities:

Visionary Leadership: Create and implement strategic plans that support the Chamber's mission and objectives, ensuring long-term growth and impact. Assess and adapt to the changing business environment and member demands.
Community Partnership: Build strong connections with local businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and other community members to promote a cooperative atmosphere conducive to economic development.
Corporate Sponsorship and Membership: Partner with corporations and local businesses increasing sponsorship. Responsible for events and annual sponsorships for the chamber.
Membership Growth: Increase membership by providing value to members through networking opportunities, educational programs, and business resources. Ensure high levels of member involvement and satisfaction.
Event and Program Management: Supervise the planning and execution of Chamber events, including networking events, workshops, seminars, and annual galas, ensuring they are consistent with the Chamber's strategic goals.

Qualifications:

Associates 's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in program management or execution, preferably within non-profits or business associations.
Strong communication, networking, and event planning skills.
Local candidates from Central Texas are preferred.

Pay: $64,674.25 - $77,887.27 per year
