Full Job Description

The GSB Group, Inc., specialized in providing quality financial IT professionals, is seeking Implementation Consultants with experience in banking/lending software systems and document/data mapping for our valued clients.

The Implementation Consultant will work closely with business and technical teams on complex projects to deliver integrated software systems within financial institutions. The Consultant will consult with business users/ groups to understand and document their business and technical software requirements.
In this role, the consultant partners with mortgage lending, compliance, and operations teams to translate business requirements into document solutions that support the lending processes across organizations.

This is a contract position, with strong potential for longer-term engagement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Key contributor to software solution implementations and system integration projects
Identifies alternative solutions that address customer requirements
Contributes to the analysis, design, development, and testing of customer project deliverables
Consults with customers regarding feature/functionality of software solutions, and configuration options to achieve customer’s business needs
Interprets business goals and understands how to implement them
Gathers, analyzes, and documents customer’s business requirements in collaboration with customer’s business, technical, and compliance staff
Works with customers on data mapping between systems, advising customers on usage and capability of the system, and appropriate configuration of the system
Coordinates, develops, and participates in the execution of integration and acceptance test plans
Works with team leads to generate and implement innovative approaches and alternative solutions to complex customer issues and needs
Prepares and delivers educational/presentation materials
Communicates and collaborates with team members and various other functional roles and departments in a cooperative spirit

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Demonstrates active listening skills with customers and coworkers
Thorough professional probing ability to fully understand customers’ stated requirements and recognize true business needs
Strong customer facing and presentation skills
Strong customer relationship management and leadership skills
Strong communication (verbal & written), with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, non-technical personnel & customers at their level
Understands and assesses the impact of new products and technical changes of existing products
Analytical, trouble shooting and team-based problem-solving skills
Flexibility and ability to work with multiple priorities, collaboratively with team, and independently on assigned tasks

Experience:

3+ years as a business systems analyst in software development and/or related experience
Large-system integration project experience strongly preferred
Professional Services experience (Consulting) strongly preferred
Banking/Mortgage background strongly preferred
Working knowledge with two or more of the following: XML, XSL/XSLT, XML Editing tools (XMLSpy, etc.), Data Mapping tools (Mapforce, etc.), Content Management Systems (Vasont, Vignette, etc.),
Relational Database Knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server) preferred.

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or related field or equivalent related work experience.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
