Gamber-Johnson LLC, an award-winning industry leader in the manufacturing of mobile and proAV mounting solutions trusted to be “Rugged, Reliable, and Responsive,” is looking for a Quality Technician to join our growing team!
What You’ll Do:
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming components to verify conformance to engineering and aesthetic specifications. You will work collaboratively with Operations and Purchasing to resolve part and product quality issues.
- Perform inspection on incoming components using a variety of inspection tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Develop inspection reports
- Develop and update inspection plans
- Provide inspection feedback to suppliers
- May participate in prototype and first production builds of new products with focus on component part inspection criteria (identification of critical features and inspection requirements)
- Provide technical assistance and support to suppliers for issues:
- Diagnose, resolve and document technical issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to next level of support
- Recommend procedure modifications and improvements
- Complete special assignments as requested by the Quality Manager
- Comply and assist with requirements of applicable standards and regulations, including ISO 9001:2015, and the pursuit of continual improvement
- Maintains the driver verification system
- Three to five years' experience in tool and die, metal fabrication, injection molding or electronics preferredThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements of the performance of this job.
