Full Job Description

Position Summary: As an Account Executive for Georgia Expo, you will retain and expand Georgia Expo’s market share and sales revenue in a defined customer group. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining the highest level of knowledge about Georgia Expo products, services and pricing.

Areas of Responsibility:

Sales

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all Georgia Expo products as well as how they are applicable to different customer groups and prospects.
Create relationships with existing customers and prospects while having an understanding of their needs.
Develop and utilize negotiating strategies and closing opportunities while supporting Company sales objectives.
Accurately enter and create customer quotes and orders in MAS and CRM.
Respond to customer inquiries and communication promptly and effectively.
Document customer interactions and conversations in the CRM system to support effective relationship management.
Use customer and industry knowledge to recommend the best product solutions and finding up-sell opportunities.
Constantly evaluate customers and their order history to provide better customer service, maintain customer loyalty, and grow the account.
Be conscious of and maintain contact with customers who have not returned to Georgia Expo for purchases in extended amounts of time.
Spend 6-7 hours per day on the phone developing new business and fostering relationships.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales objectives set by the Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Actively participate in ongoing product, policy, and any other Company training.
Work with the Marketing team to assist you in your sales process and give meaningful feedback that will increase sales through marketing.
Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Skill Requirements:

Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Excellent communication and telephone presentation skills are required.
Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability and desire to meet and/or exceed Sales goals.
Demonstrated ability to handle work challenges confidentially; willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
Ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters professionally.
Solid math aptitude.
Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar).
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with ERP systems such as MAS or SAP preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an inside sales environment preferred, with a proven track record of success.
Prior B2B product sales and new business development experience required.
Prior event industry experience and familiarity with pipe and drape products is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university prefer or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for up to 8 hours.

Travel Requirements:

Less than 5% travel required
